No matter where I am,
your teachings
fill me with songs.

A Clean Slate

How often have you ever wished to simply erase everything and start all over again? Maybe that’s why we like our electronics as much as we do – we can simply reboot them. Delete their memory and start all over again.

Life isn’t that way. Our choices from the past – even those made just a second ago – affect our present and future. And the cumulation of choices is why you are where you are at this moment.

Does that mean you’re destined to be stuck forever where you are right now? Absolutely not! Choices are powerful things. They can take you down a road of success, bitterness, adventure, joy, obstacles, or any number of destinations.

Thankfully, this blog is electronic and it can be wiped clean. Given a fresh start – new life – a new chance to succeed. But, I’ve learned lessons along the way. Preparation, discipline, and perseverance are necessary to keep a thing going. As I begin this newest chapter of life for this site, I’d like to start with the idea of a clean slate in our own lives.

It begins with a right relationship with God – the Creator of the entire universe – including you. He promises that His mercies are new every morning. He is the giver of hope, joy, peace. He is the One who can complete you – whatever you think you might be looking for.

Who wouldn’t want a clean start every single day? Or part way through the day? God offers that and I hope, if you haven’t already chosen to follow Him, you will one day soon.
